Spinal arthritis can affect any of the joints in the spine, creating a number of different symptoms — and most commonly, pain. At The Pain Management Center, we offer spinal arthritis treatments to men and women living in Hamilton, Linwood, Turnersville and Voorhees, NJ.
What is Spinal Arthritis?
Spinal arthritis, also known as facet joint syndrome, is a condition characterized by the deterioration of the facet joints throughout the spine. The facet joints are located throughout the spine, connecting its many bones together and enabling you to twist, turn, and bend in the back. Like other parts of the body, the facet joints deteriorate over time — a process that can be accelerated by injury or poor health habits.
As the facet joints become weak or inflamed, you may experience a reduced range of motion, pain, and other uncomfortable sensations in the back. In some cases, symptoms may even spread to the arms, neck, or legs. Fortunately, The Pain Management Center offers many treatments to help relieve the symptoms of spinal arthritis and improve your quality of life.
